Supplements For Healthy Heart
Heart problems have gotten so much attention over many other health conditions. And congestive heart disease is probably one of the biggest concerns of many people. A good and healthy diet along with some exercises and nutritional supplements with natural ingredients are strongly suggested to help maintain a healthy heart and avoid any risk of getting any diseases of the heart.

Soluble fiber can be found in natural heart disease supplements, constipation remedies, or right on the shelf at your local supermarket. Soluble fiber works by binding with cholesterol and fats in the intestinal tract and ultimately sending in out of the body in the form of solid waste.

The policosanol that comes from raw sugar cane is very effective at treating the primary cause of heart disease hypercholesterolemia. It significantly decreases total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol (bad), as well as increasing HDL cholesterol (good). It is also effective at preventing or improving atherosclerosis.

Natural supplements that contain cholesterol lowering substances can be excellent for your heart. They inhibit the production of cholesterol, prevent your body from absorbing too much cholesterol, and help your body excrete bad cholesterol easily. This multi-pronged approach toward cholesterol reduction can be very effective and can lower the blood cholesterol levels to a great extent.

Coronary artery disease means narrowing of the coronary arteries. It is caused by a process called atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries), which is the gradual buildup of plague — deposits made up of cholesterol, other fats, and calcium. Eventually, diminished blood flow can “starve” the heart muscle and lead to angina (chest pain).

L-carnitine increases the energy production of the heart. Studies have shown it to be effective in the treatment of angina. Another study showed L-carnitine to be beneficial for congestive heart failure. It improved triglycerides, cholesterol, edema and helped breathing.

Niacin has been proven to have a positive effect on cholesterol. It can boost your HDL or good cholesterol. Niacin is one of the B vitamins. Niacin is important for things like digestion and nervous system function. There are two type of niacin preparations that you can take.

Hardening of the arteries can occur as the result of a mineral deficiency, particularly magnesium – which then causes calcium to build up on the walls of the arteries. This will usually occur in the major arteries – particularly the aorta and other major arteries of the heart.

Heart disease can take a number of forms, including: Angina: is a heavy, tight pain in the chest that happens after some type of exertion. This is caused by when the blood vessels narrow and fail to supply the heart with the proper amount of oxygen. Heart Attack: occurs when the coronary arteries that carry oxygen to the heart muscles become obstructed.

A heart healthy diet is low in saturated fats, trans fat, cholesterol, sodium (salt), and added sugar. If you smoke, try to quit. Also try to avoid secondhand smoke. If one is overweight and then the solution would be to lose weight. Physical activity is also included in prevention. The more active you are, the more likely you will benefit from physical exercise.

Prevention of Heart Attack

Prevention of Heart Attack

Today our country is at war. I’m not referring to any military missions overseas, I’m referring to an increasingly overweight and out of shape population. We all know we should get in shape and lose weight or we run the risk of serious health issues, but so many of us have trouble getting started. Sometimes just getting through the day takes all we have, where do we find the extra time and energy to worry about dieting and exercising? How do we find the time to learn how to prevent a heart attack?

There are tremendous benefits to be gained from vitamins, along with a healthy diet and exercise we should all be able to live long, healthy and happy lives. I am no doctor so consult your physician before doing anything. You should have a better understanding of the benefits of vitamins and can now ask how they can help you stay healthy.

Quit Smoking: Smoking is one of the major factors that can lead to heart disease.

Stop smoking as soon as possible. Secondhand smokers are also at risk of heart disease. The smoke of cigarette contains hazardous chemicals that can damage your heart. Narrowing of arteries can result to heart attack.

If there is any kind of damage or problem with the arteries, the blood flow in the body will directly be affected. If the supply of blood is restricted for more than 20 to 40 minutes, an irreversible death of heart muscle occurs and if the time span of restricted supply further increases, it can even lead to death.

In addition to these things, you should get treatment for any existing conditions that you have, especially high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes. These are major contributors to people having heart attacks. Through diet changes alone, most, if not all, of these problems can be controlled.

Chew an aspirin and call an ambulance if you think you are having a heart attack, but do not take one if you are allergic to aspirin. Clot clearing medications and a host of other procedures will be administered to you upon arriving at the hospital.

One food that has been found to reduce deaths from cardiovascular disease and stroke is garlic. Garlic contains a compound called S-allyl-L-cysteine (SAC), which is thought to provide protection from heart disease. Garlic also helps to lower overall cholesterol levels, while increasing levels of HDL, the beneficial cholesterol.

You will need to cope with your feelings. You need to realize that depression and grief can break you. During this time, there is a lot of stress to deal with. Preparing meals, dealing with guests, shopping and dealing with the crowds in stores is a lot to deal with. Not to mention, the financial strain this period can have on someone.

If you have any genetic/hereditary problems in your family, such as high cholesterol or high blood pressure, it is of utmost importance that you get both checked regularly. Remember to have annual physicals and routine regular check-ups at your doctor’s office.
